Mark Koyama

Mark Koyama is an Associate Professor of Economics at George Mason University.  He is a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution for the 2017-2018 academic year.  Mark received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Oxford in 2010.  He previously held academic positions at the University of York and Brown University.

Persecution and Toleration is his first book.  Previous research has been published in numerous academic journals including the Economic Journal, International Economic Review, the Journal of Development Economics, the Journal of Law and Economics, and Explorations in Economic History.  His research has been featured in the New York Times, the Economist, the Financial Times, the Boston Globe, Slate and Foreign Policy among other outlets.
